Full Circle Forestry, LLC Forest Stand Improvement

Forest Stand Improvement (FSI)

FSI consists of various non- or semi-commercial practices that are conducted in stands that do not support a sufficient stocking of trees of merchantable diameter or commercially viable volumes/acre; these treatments generally require some level of landowner investment in the future of their forest.  FSI practices are designed to: 1) maintain and improve health, vigor and growth; 2) to influence composition; and 3) to improve timber quality or alter the quality and quantity of other forest attributes.  These treatments are applied to stands supporting commercial species, with the desired qualities found on productive sites.
